One of my all time favorite snacks is apples with peanut butter! I usually eat it right after working out or mid afternoon when I get the muchies at work! It's full of oh so good yummy nutrients!
Apples: Full of fiber, helps with loosing weight, lowering cholesterol, prevent cancers & full of healthy antioxidants! Apples contain lots of pesticides and it's best to buy organic! If organic unavailable I would peel the skin, but then you are loosing a lot of healthy fibers that the skin contains! My favorite kinds are Gala Apples and Red Delicious!
Peanut Butter: Loaded with protein, fiber & healthy fats. Can lower your risk of heart disease & aide in weight loss. However not all peanut butter is created equal. You have to check the labels. Aim for one with no added salt or sugar!
These two combined are a healthy snack and because of all the fiber your are getting it will keep you fuller longer and will give you more energy throughout the day!
I keep a jar of peanut butter at work, and take an apple to work every day! It's a much more filling snack than that package of M&Ms and no guilt involved!
